In our relationship-centered school, we build students’ self-confidence and self-esteem by focusing on creating mentoring connections with every child in order to help meet his or her highest academic potential. We are “one size fits YOU,” not one size fits all! We customize every student’s educational plan based on future goals and current ability. We place students in classes based on the academic progression of learning using NWEA MAP Growth results, psychological evaluations, and past school records. By teaching students beginning from where they are academically, not merely by grade level, teachers ensure that the foundational skills for advancement are established before they move upward.
Every teacher maintains high expectations of each student based upon a tremendous amount of academic, social and emotional support. For that reason, we attract students of all grades and levels for whom the traditional model of education no longer meets their needs.
